Debbie Baird

I am an Education Advisor at Renaissance, having joined the company in April 2023. Prior to this role, I spent twelve years working with Renaissance as an Associate Renaissance Consultant (ARC), delivering training and support to schools across the full range of Renaissance products. I am currently a member of the Customer Experience team, supporting UK and Ireland

My professional background is in Special Education. For fourteen years, I worked in a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) school, supporting children and young people aged 5 to 19 with a wide range of social, emotional, communication and mental health needs across varying cognitive abilities.

A key aspect of my role was co-leading the school’s reading curriculum, including administering reading assessments, tracking pupil progress, and designing targeted interventions to support literacy development. I also delivered individual and group interventions using multi-sensory teaching approaches and hold qualifications in supporting and teaching children with dyslexic tendencies. This experience has given me a strong understanding of how evidence-based assessment and intervention can help improve outcomes for learners with diverse needs.
